Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Blănaru got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 5 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Chorache Tofiño came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasile Blănaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 11 minutes into the game, Camilo Gaos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Progresul Pitesti the free kick. If Vasile Blănaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. After 19 minutes of play, Progresul Pitesti's Karol Czempa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Martin Tudor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Martin Tudor. Progresul Pitesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Timmie Deinse took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Karol Czempa succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Progresul Pitesti's Chorache Tofiño got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Martin Tudor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Martin Tudor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Progresul Pitesti's Karol Czempa got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karol Czempa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Karol Czempa put it in 4-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Progresul Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vintilă Marinică didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Czempa in the 85th minute of the match. In the 88th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Vasile Blănaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Chorache Tofiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Progresul Pitesti walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
