Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vasile Blănaru kicked off to start the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Progresul Pitesti's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Martin Tudor quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Tudor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Martin Tudor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Martin Tudor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Tudor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vasile Blănaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Martin Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, Vasile Blănaru got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karol Czempa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play forced Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Martin Tudor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Tudor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustín Saelices's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. With an all-out effort, Progresul Pitesti's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Karol Czempa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 39thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Progresul Pitesti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Martin Tudor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Progresul Pitesti players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

Vasile Blănaru struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Progresul Pitesti. Chorache Tofiño charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chorache Tofiño the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chorache Tofiño kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Martin Tudor skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Progresul Pitesti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Martin Tudor quite easily take care of the ball. Martin Tudor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Blănaru in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Tudor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87thth minute of the game Karol Czempa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
