Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute Cléber Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Sport Club Abrilense's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Leopoldo Dominix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sport Club Abrilense's Leopoldo Dominix. Leopoldo Dominix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 minutes of play, Sport Club Abrilense's Severino Bruggink made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Sport Club Abrilense's Cléber Catarinense fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sport Club Abrilense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leandro Luix in the 19th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Severino Bruggink heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 25 played minutes Sport Club Abrilense got a freekick which was hit by Israel Edorta. Sport Club Abrilense's Leopoldo Dominix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Sport Club Abrilense getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Florian Zawadzki hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Sport Club Abrilense's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Leopoldo Dominix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Dominix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 36th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cléber Catarinense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléber Catarinense in the 51st minute of the match. Cléber Catarinense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 59th minute, Cristian Sancho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute of play forced Sport Club Abrilense's goalkeeper Leopoldo Dominix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Dominix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Sport Club Abrilense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Zawadzki to maneuver through the defense. Sport Club Abrilense's German Estevez was substituted for Severino Bruggink. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Sport Club Abrilense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Zawadzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Dominix made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Estevez in the 84th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, German Estevez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After 89 minutes, Dan Rüdy made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sport Club Abrilense made a substitution. Esteban Quito replaced Bonifacio Fero. The Sport Club Abrilense players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
