Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svend Betz in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, FSX UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Ye Wei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ye Wei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Víctor Javier Ebensperger's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. FSX UNITED's Ye Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 37th minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match Luz Tejedor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ye Wei skillfully saved the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. FSX UNITED's Ye Wei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save FSX UNITED from getting a goal against them. FSX UNITED's Ye Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ye Wei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, FSX UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ye Wei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Anthony Alvarado kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Marcelo Salas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FSX UNITED's Ye Wei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save FSX UNITED from getting a goal against them.
