Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Bertus Waldijk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Koos de Kort could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Koos de Kort tried to sneak it across the goal line. Koos de Kort had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bertus Waldijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertus Waldijk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. Bertus Waldijk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of the match. Bertus Waldijk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Ferdinant Eulen's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinant Eulen helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes FFC Merainies 03 got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinant Eulen. Bertus Waldijk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 38th minute of play forced FFC Merainies 03's goalkeeper Bertus Waldijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Waard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henk Waard kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 48 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koos de Kort stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Bertus Waldijk in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 54 minutes FFC Merainies 03's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FFC Merainies 03's Koos de Kort got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bertus Waldijk. Bertus Waldijk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ferdinant Eulen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertus Waldijk having to interfere. Bertus Waldijk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Ferdinant Eulen got a free kick in the 77th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FFC Merainies 03's Bertus Waldijk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bertus Waldijk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Bertus Waldijk in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FFC Merainies 03's Ferdinant Eulen got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Ferdinant Eulen off the ground. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
