With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Merdan Abesadze tried to sneak it across the goal line. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match, Merdan Abesadze got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 13th minute of the match, Vytautas Kalasiūnas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jonathan Ferrant saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tomas Illescas sped through FC Hiiu Pallurid's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marko Meerits. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Merdan Abesadze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vytautas Kalasiūnas in the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Venegas during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Jonathan Ferrant had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Merdan Abesadze's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 32nd minute Vytautas Kalasiūnas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merdan Abesadze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Merdan Abesadze came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Merdan Abesadze was the one to do the kick off. FC Hiiu Pallurid's Marko Meerits proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hiiu Pallurid from getting a goal against them. If Vytautas Kalasiūnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Vytautas Kalasiūnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Hiiu Pallurid booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Vytautas Kalasiūnas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hiiu Pallurid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The supporters of FC Hiiu Pallurid booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Merdan Abesadze kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. FC Hiiu Pallurid's Merdan Abesadze got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Hiiu Pallurid's Marko Meerits played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 96th minute of play. FC Hiiu Pallurid were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
