Marius Rusu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the FC ciufulici defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marius Rusu. The FC ciufulici fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marius Rusu should have stopped the shot. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC ciufulici getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lucrețiu Oroian hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Marius Rusu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Andrei Joita kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Marius Rusu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute, Costel Luican hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 minutes, Lucrețiu Oroian made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. With his leg Marius Rusu managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marius Rusu made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Marius Rusu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felix Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 92 minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC ciufulici to leave the ground with a draw.
