In the 16th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Belli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 18th minute. Donovan Belli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 20th minute of play. Donovan Belli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Serra in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donovan Belli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filippo Serras short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 35 minutes into the game, Alexander Carballo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Pozzino the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Dennis Corvasce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Dennis Corvasce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Aaron Alcocer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Pozzino the free kick. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filippo Serra was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Filippo Serra made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Efrain Moruga made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Pozzino's Alfonso Rigoni. Axel Tasis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Donovan Belli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 65 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Real Pozzino's Alfonso Rigoni quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filippo Serra's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Cappucci in the 73rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Franzioni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Cappucci in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filippo Serra in the 79th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Alfonso Rigoni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Pozzino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Rigoni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Pozzino's Filippo Serra. But to his dismay, Filippo Serra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Filippo Serra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Real Pozzino fully deserved thier win.
