After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Werner Barz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Werner Barz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ćiro Immobile came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ćiro Immobile couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Ćiro Immobile sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. A hard shot 16 in the game by Ćiro Immobile from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. When Bert Ringelnatz fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's protests and gave Bert Ringelnatz a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Spvgg München-Lerch. 05:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. Ferdinand Pflügge had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferdinand Pflügge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 27th minute, Ćiro Immobile left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 31st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Ćiro Immobile fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Ćiro Immobile capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ćiro Immobile really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Burkhard Seelert was slow to take the kick. During this time Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's players had a chance to rest. Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's King Caniggia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Burkhard Seelert took the corner. After a rather tough play, Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Bert Ringelnatz got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Ćiro Immobile's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 57 minutes into the game, Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Erwin Jankowsky nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ferdinand Pflügge. That made the score 5-2 in the 65 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Werner Barz. But to his dismay, Werner Barz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Pflügge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 76th minute. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ferdinand Pflügge quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 78th minute of play forced Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's goalkeeper Ferdinand Pflügge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Spvgg München-Lerch. 05's Caspar Allendorf. If Werner Barz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Spvgg München-Lerch. 05 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
