To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd minute of the match FC Bayern München got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 김 묵 ran over to the corner to take the kick. 周松林 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute. After 81 played minutes FC Bayern München got a freekick which was hit by Armin Lucchetta. 周松林 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-5 was the resulting score. In the 86th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind 周松林. 周松林 yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-6. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Müller in the 89th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Bak in the 94th minute of play. The FC Bayern München fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
