Benito Sanz was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Adrian Lohitzun capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adrian Lohitzun really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. When Juan Hvalica came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Club Deportivo Álvarez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Hvalica couldn't finish the play. Can Ocakçı hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Adrian Lohitzun was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Miguel Ángel Hvalica nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Miguel Ángel Hvalica scored 8-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Lohitzun in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Club Deportivo Álvarez booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Club Deportivo Álvarez booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Deportivo Álvarez's Juan Hvalica got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Adrian Lohitzun put it in 11-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 95 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Hvalica came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Adrian Lohitzun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. Club Deportivo Álvarez's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
