Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) KFC Cromvelde's Mathijs Rokeloos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 12 minutes into the game, Mathijs Rokeloos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 14th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Louis Van Bever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Mathijs Rokeloos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathijs Rokeloos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Dé 武松 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cassius Byrne in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Louis Van Bever saved KFC Cromvelde from getting behind. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, KFC Cromvelde's Herman Frans got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Mathijs Rokeloos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play.

Cassius Byrne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jean-Louis Van Bever having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 54th minute of play forced KFC Cromvelde's goalkeeper Jean-Louis Van Bever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Mathijs Rokeloos came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Edward Mcdonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Louis Van Bever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, KFC Cromvelde's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Jean-Louis Van Bever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathijs Rokeloos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Jean-Louis Van Bever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 64th minute of the match. After 65 minutes KFC Cromvelde's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. After 65 minutes, Karl-Heinz Kaltz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Cromvelde and the USA players grew even worse after the yellow card. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Jean-Louis Van Bever had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Monty Rogers's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathijs Rokeloos, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 80th minute, USA's Monty Rogers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. Jenson Smith made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Khalid Parry. If Marco Baker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sam Campbell scored 1-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jean-Louis Van Bever, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KFC Cromvelde throughout the match.
