Ruperto Santio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Santio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachariasz Ptaszek in the 9th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, !HalaMadrid!'s Jurand Jandryca got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute, Zachariasz Ptaszek reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 1-0. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ruperto Santio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachariasz Ptaszek in the 24th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Santio was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. The corner ended in Zdzislaw Gierlach almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ruperto Santio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Ruperto Santio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 58th minute. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 59th minute. 1-1 became the score in the 61st minute when Joel Gaona elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zdzislaw Gierlach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. !HalaMadrid! made a substitution. Bernd Beike replaced Olaf Soroka. In the 75th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Ruperto Santio came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After 86 minutes of play, !HalaMadrid!'s Zachariasz Ptaszek made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdzislaw Gierlach in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Santio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to !HalaMadrid! getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jurand Jandryca hit a great ball. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
