Zeledon Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adamantios Geronimidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Niki Bundev in the 9th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Cristian Mergildo kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 23rd minute Julian Silviano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Curcio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute C.A. LANUS were awarded a corner. Vaani Gómez went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Vaani Gómez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yala's Zeledon Curcio did a great save. Vaani Gómez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Curcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Silviano in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, C.A. LANUS's Adamantios Geronimidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeledon Curcio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. C.A. LANUS were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Yala's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vaani Gómez took the corner. After taking down the ball on C.A. LANUS's corner Vaani Gómez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zeledon Curcio quite easily take care of the ball. In the 40th minute, Niki Bundev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Niki Bundev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaani Gómez in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adamantios Geronimidis to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Freddy Valentine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yala's Laurids Grejsen got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yala's Zeledon Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Silviano in the 62nd minute of play. With a little luck, Yala's Zeledon Curcio got control of the ball when Adamantios Geronimidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of C.A. LANUS booed when Yala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adamantios Geronimidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Zeledon Curcio made a huge save. Yala's Zeledon Curcio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Yala from getting a goal against them. Vaani Gómez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Zeledon Curcio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Edwin Söderberg hit a great ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Julian Silviano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. LANUS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Silviano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atilano Tonio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Niki Bundev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yala's supporters rose to their feet, but Niki Bundev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Mergildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeledon Curcio was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Julian Silviano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Silviano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. C.A. LANUS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
