Despite this Isidoro Dolfos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felix Montes scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isidoro Dolfos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Daniel Zorita to score against Isidoro Dolfos in Club Almirante Brown's goal. 0-2 after 30 minutes. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Club Almirante Brown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Abad didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Guido Bautista put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

53 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Bautista came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonzo Ekialde charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 85th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vladimiro Remigio hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Alonzo Ekialde hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Guido Bautista struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Almirante Brown. In the 92nd minute Guido Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
