Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Agustín Tastzian kicked off to start the match. Patric Isaksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 11th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Patric Isaksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrenta SC's Patric Isaksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 15th minute of play. Patric Isaksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patric Isaksson having to interfere. If Wellington de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes Barrenta SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Patric Isaksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 29th minute of play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Patric Isaksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Di Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Tastzian in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Agustín Tastzian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Tastzian. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the game, Agustín Tastzian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrenta SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Tastzian to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patric Isaksson having to interfere. Patric Isaksson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 62nd minute. In the 62nd minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patric Isaksson. Patric Isaksson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Barrenta SC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patric Isaksson came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barrenta SC's Patric Isaksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Barrenta SC from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Patric Isaksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barrenta SC's Urban Stenman was substituted for Fellipe Lago. In the 90th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patric Isaksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Tastzian, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Barrenta SC throughout the match.
