A collision led to F.C Alex Bucuresti getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Zak Soon hit a great ball. In the 15th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calistrat Babeș in the 21st minute. After 23 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the F.C Alex Bucuresti players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Caba, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calistrat Babeș to make the kick off. Gigel Caba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 minutes, Ştefan Staicu made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. F.C Alex Bucuresti's Raşit Özdilek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 88th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Raşit Özdilek in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. F.C Alex Bucuresti fully deserved thier win.
