But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dong Xi Jun couldn't finish the play. Pirates of Black Sea's Wasyl Modrzewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 9th minute of play. Wasyl Modrzewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wasyl Modrzewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wasyl Modrzewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Pirates of Black Sea's Wasyl Modrzewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 26th minute of play. Taribo West hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Wasyl Modrzewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Figueroa in the 31st minute of the match. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Lacasa in the 32nd minute. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wasyl Modrzewski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Wasyl Modrzewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 35th minute of play. Işık Korhan hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wasyl Modrzewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pirates of Black Sea's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Xavier Figueroa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pirates of Black Sea's Wasyl Modrzewski did a great save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Wasyl Modrzewski was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-1. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jose Manzanedo hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Dong Xi Jun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Wasyl Modrzewski made a huge save. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wasyl Modrzewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Chile's Alan Tamayo got a free kick in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Dowrick came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Tommy Dowrick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tommy Dowrick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When the match was over Chile could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pirates of Black Sea throughout the match.
