SC Duisburg 2012 were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ab Surdo took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Carmine Berardi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Venezuela booed when SC Duisburg 2012 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donny Wolf didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yu Ming Nan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Carmine Berardi came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the SC Duisburg 2012 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmine Berardi couldn't finish the play. Carmine Berardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 53 minutes of play, SC Duisburg 2012's Tombolo Wa Kadima De Reckheim made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tombolo Wa Kadima De Reckheim in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tombolo Wa Kadima De Reckheim in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tombolo Wa Kadima De Reckheim in the 73rd minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Tombolo Wa Kadima De Reckheim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 77 minutes into the game, SC Duisburg 2012's Carmine Berardi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Tombolo Wa Kadima De Reckheim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Tombolo Wa Kadima De Reckheim scored 8-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute Tombolo Wa Kadima De Reckheim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Duisburg 2012's Tombolo Wa Kadima De Reckheim got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Duisburg 2012 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
