The referee ignored All Stars Gent's protests and gave Christiaan Elsen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Christiaan Elsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esterilla Van Meenen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. All Stars Gent's Christiaan Elsen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brend Van Laeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esterilla Van Meenen hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Arias to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute of the match Christiaan Elsen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esterilla Van Meenen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Esterilla Van Meenen in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esterilla Van Meenen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christiaan Elsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Esterilla Van Meenen sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. In the 83rdth minute of the game Esterilla Van Meenen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brend Van Laeck in the 85th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Brend Van Laeck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. 88 minutes into the game, All Stars Gent's Brend Van Laeck nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.
