After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Jonas Millrick managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porcinos Jr's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Millrick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 12th minute. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Jonas Millrick took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Monte Lombana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Porcinos Jr's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. 22 minutes into the match, Porcinos Jr's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Monte Lombana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Roman Wydrych ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After having played for 29 minutes, Roman Wydrych managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Porcinos Jr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Wydrych was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Porcinos Jr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Luke didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melquiades Vito got free with Benito Sanz in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Lino Nesto hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Jonas Millrick made the kick off in the second half. Roman Wydrych received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jonas Millrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porcinos Jr's Monte Lombana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 68th minute of play. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Franco in the 80th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Vito in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Porcinos Jr booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
