Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Axel Tasis made the kick off which started today's match. Ludomir Zacharek in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cezary Kasiewski was extremely unlucky when he, in the 7th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ludomir Zacharek in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute of the match GKS Katowice got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dominik Brysz ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludomir Zacharek. 18 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Betão Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Cezary Kasiewski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GKS Katowice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. GKS Katowice's attentive Olgierd Cwojdak managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Olgierd Cwojdak could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. In the 36th minute Cezary Kasiewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GKS Katowice's Ludomir Zacharek was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Betão Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

GKS Katowice made a substitution. Lucjan Werra replaced Ludomir Zacharek. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucjan Werra made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucjan Werra in the 54th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Cezary Kasiewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Betão Pontes in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the game, Olgierd Cwojdak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GKS Katowice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. In the 58th match minute, GKS Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Cwojdak to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Betão Pontes made a huge save. Lucjan Werra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betão Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 69th minute of play. In the 76th minute GKS Katowice were awarded a corner. Dominik Brysz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led GKS Katowice's Dominik Brysz to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucjan Werra in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 79th minute. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Betão Pontes came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseo Noboa slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute, Cezary Kasiewski made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After a rather tough play, GKS Katowice's Olgierd Cwojdak got a free kick in the 94th minute. Betão Pontes was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Axel Tasis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Axel Tasis really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. When the referee ended the match the GKS Katowice players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
