Mehmet Akif Ersoy came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Alexandre Tepedino. But to his dismay, Alexandre Tepedino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Umea Sorzano fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's protests and gave Umea Sorzano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Umea Sorzano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 9 played minutes ZigZag Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Jacek Zjawin. After 10 played minutes, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Umea Sorzano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mehmet Akif Ersoy came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Pomelo Nenene reached it. In the 12th minute Alexandre Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Akif Ersoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Bengt-Rune Öman made a precise shot to the right of Albino Maiorga. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Wiktor Gaszynski made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Camilo Azubeli. Mehmet Akif Ersoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danial Boon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Albino Maiorga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Nestor in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Danial Boon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehmet Akif Ersoy. ZigZag Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danial Boon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Camilo Azubeli managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Wiktor Gaszynski in the 46 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Umea Sorzano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's supporters rose to their feet, but Umea Sorzano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Akif Ersoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Deportivo Pomelo Nenene were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Tepedino was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Albino Maiorga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Corrêa in the 58th minute of play forced Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Albino Maiorga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albino Maiorga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Mehmet Akif Ersoy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danial Boon in the 66th minute. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene made a substitution. Ezequiel Lluques replaced Gong Jun Jian. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind ZigZag Athletic's goalkeeper Mehmet Akif Ersoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Gaspar Pomelov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Pomelo Nenene fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 85 minutes into the match, ZigZag Athletic's goalkeeper Mehmet Akif Ersoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liu Feng Guang. 86 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Nestor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albino Maiorga. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Nestor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 89th match minute, ZigZag Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Boberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, ZigZag Athletic's Kjell Boberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kjell Boberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ZigZag Athletic protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kjell Boberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 95th match minute, ZigZag Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Boberg to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Umea Sorzano tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 3-3. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. ZigZag Athletic's Rodrigo Nestor started the play with his kick off. Mehmet Akif Ersoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Pomelov in the 106th minute of the match. With the score at 3-3, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.

Both teams seemed ready to fight when Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Gaspar Pomelov did the kick off and started the second half in the overtime. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Camilo Azubeli quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wiktor Gaszynski, made in the 123rd minute of the game. The ZigZag Athletic manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Deportivo Pomelo Nenene to win.
