The corner led UE Sant Julià's Edinson Cavani to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Melani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With his leg Angelo Melani managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when UE Sant Julià's Perry Swanson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. UE Sant Julià's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ke Rong Zhen in the 16th minute. The supporters of Whity Pool United booed when UE Sant Julià was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Armando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martyn Smart hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Perry Swanson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Angelo Melani to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the match, UE Sant Julià's goal looked a bit too open when Syd Ely came free, but Johnnie Dobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edinson Cavani in the 28th minute of play forced Whity Pool United's goalkeeper Angelo Melani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Whity Pool United's Angelo Melani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Whity Pool United from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute Charis Vlastaras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnnie Dobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Melani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Perry Swanson in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Perry Swanson notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Whity Pool United's Angelo Melani. Angelo Melani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Angelo Melani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Swanson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Angelo Melani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinson Cavani in the 44th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Perry Swanson notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Whity Pool United's Angelo Melani. Angelo Melani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Edinson Cavani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charis Vlastaras made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Whity Pool United's goal looked a bit too open when Edinson Cavani came free, but Angelo Melani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Perry Swanson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Angelo Melani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. UE Sant Julià's Joe Argent was substituted for Ke Rong Zhen. The supporters of Whity Pool United booed when UE Sant Julià was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perry Swanson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Whity Pool United's Johnnie Dobson threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Waclaw Kaczanek, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Waclaw Kaczanek fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whity Pool United's protests and gave Waclaw Kaczanek a yellow card for diving instead. Waclaw Kaczanek kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Angelo Melani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinson Cavani in the 85th minute of play. Johnnie Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waclaw Kaczanek in the 91st minute of play. After 92 minutes, Charis Vlastaras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Whity Pool United and the UE Sant Julià players grew even worse after the yellow card. UE Sant Julià made a substitution. Harvey Heywood replaced Blas Armando. In the 93rd match minute, Whity Pool United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charis Vlastaras to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. UE Sant Julià fully deserved thier win.
