Guido Vissenaeken started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Brugge United were awarded a corner. Jaspar Van Den Broeck went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Brugge United's corner Percy da Fonseca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vencel Mezei quite easily take care of the ball. A hard shot 9 in the game by Guido Vissenaeken from a close distance when the talented Vencel Mezei managed to make a qualified save. Pénzügyőr SE's players were relieved. Tihamér Angyal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Vítor Baia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Guido Vissenaeken made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Pénzügyőr SE's Vencel Mezei tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pénzügyőr SE's goalkeeper Vencel Mezei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erben Kiewit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vencel Mezei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guido Vissenaeken might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vencel Mezei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Vissenaeken ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 43rd minute, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vencel Mezei. Vencel Mezei yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 46th minute, Guido Vissenaeken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Brugge United made a substitution. Arnauld Van Impe replaced Guido Vissenaeken. Vencel Mezei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnauld Van Impe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57th play minutes Arnauld Van Impe shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Vencel Mezei and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 61 minutes, Arnauld Van Impe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brugge United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnauld Van Impe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pénzügyőr SE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Brugge United's Laurențiu Roşculeţ got a free kick in the 67th minute. Arnauld Van Impe might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vencel Mezei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnauld Van Impe ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ümit Karan to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the game, Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vencel Mezei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The audience was convinced that Arnauld Van Impe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vencel Mezei was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
