Souad Brahimi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruud Luirink in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciej Kiepski in the 28th minute of play forced Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Mario Klompe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Diderik Alferink made the kick off in the second half. KKS Lech Poznań's Josef Masný got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chiel Brinke kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, KKS Lech Poznań's goal looked a bit too open when Diderik Alferink came free, but Souad Brahimi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zijdewind SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
