Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 14th minute, FC Pierońskie Hanysy's Geovanni Araújo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. István Sipos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play. Miromir Burdalski hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Joel Gaona sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Pierońskie Hanysy's István Sipos didn't even have to move. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thorbjørn Brunswick, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The referee ignored FC Pierońskie Hanysy's protests and gave Thorbjørn Brunswick a yellow card for diving instead. Thorbjørn Brunswick hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Geovanni Araújo made the kick off in the second half. Facundo Cadaval blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without István Sipos having to make a save. FC Pierońskie Hanysy's Miromir Burdalski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 56 minute of the game. After having played for 58 minutes, Thorbjørn Brunswick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Pierońskie Hanysy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorbjørn Brunswick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni Araújo came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, FC Pierońskie Hanysy's goalkeeper István Sipos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Araújo in the 63rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, FC Pierońskie Hanysy's Geovanni Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Pierońskie Hanysy's István Sipos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save FC Pierońskie Hanysy from getting a goal against them.
