Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Damien Fowler got the match started through his kick off. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Francisco Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alf Ploughman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Soldeu's Alf Ploughman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Soldeu's Alf Ploughman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. Alf Ploughman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 12th minute. Tod Simpson made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Darren Blewitt sent off a good shot on target. 28 minutes into the match, Damien Fowler notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when FC Soldeu's Damien Fowler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Darren Blewitt hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, Darren Blewitt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Soldeu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. The supporters of Uruguay booed when FC Soldeu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darren Blewitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Ploughman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Soldeu's goalkeeper Alf Ploughman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 55 in the game by Francisco Seco from a close distance when the talented Alf Ploughman managed to make a qualified save. FC Soldeu's players were relieved. 58 minutes into the game, Tod Simpson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Soldeu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. After 58 played minutes FC Soldeu got a freekick which was hit by Tod Simpson. Francisco Seco scored 1-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Ploughman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Alf Ploughman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 79th minute, Maximiliano Escribano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Soldeu's Alf Ploughman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Soldeu from getting a goal against them. Uruguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Cazalla in the 84th minute. The corner ended in Jaime Cazalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Soldeu's Alf Ploughman did a great save. Maximiliano Escribano struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Alf Ploughman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Fowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Damien Fowler came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Cazalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Soldeu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
