In the 13th minute of the match SAPI FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After 44 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. After 46 played minutes SAPI FC got a freekick which was hit by Martinus Bachdim. 47 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Paijo Sutrisna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Warsidi Oktavianus was the one to do the kick off. In the 62nd minute Caio Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SAPI FC's Paijo Sutrisna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save SAPI FC from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warsidi Oktavianus in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Caio Dante's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After 73 minutes SAPI FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SAPI FC.
