Namık Kemal Kadrican made in the 9th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Edvaldo Motta however managed to control. In the 15th minute, Anibal Txartiko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erivaldo Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 15th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erivaldo Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Lucas Webster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SANTOS FC- FDFDF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Milagros Fraga was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Neil Mcinnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neil Mcinnes made a kick off. In the 56th match minute, SANTOS FC- FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Namık Kemal Kadrican to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Seçkin Ünlüol was slow to take the kick. During this time SANTOS FC- FDFDF's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Seçkin Ünlüol almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. In the 87th minute, Rafael Gallo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erivaldo Catarinense. The goal made the score 2-2. Peru's Eliseo Mina got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erivaldo Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Alonso Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Peru players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
