Segundo Feijo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Segundo Feijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫'s Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jorge Rinaldi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jorge Rinaldi took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Eneko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Segundo Feijo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Segundo Feijo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Segundo Feijo. ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫'s Segundo Feijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 minutes, Aristides Panfilo made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Segundo Feijo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Rinaldi in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dogo Burdeos's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dogo Burdeos helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫ got a freekick which was hit by Dogo Burdeos. Norberto Fraco kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Eneko in the 59th minute of play. Leandro Gilesindo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫ getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Donato Lobo hit a great ball. Segundo Feijo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 63rd minute. In the 63rd minute, Donato Lobo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫'s zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Feijo came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Sixto Magdaleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixto Magdaleno charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sixto Magdaleno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sixto Magdaleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Panfilo in the 86th minute of play. If Gaston Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Panfilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Panfilo in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫'s Jorge Rinaldi got a free kick in the 94th minute. The ♫♫ OB®E®OS ♫♫ players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
