Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gürhan İlenç's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Gürhan İlenç hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Evaristo Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute of play. When Flu Lawyers Soccer Club's Gürhan İlenç in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Flu Lawyers Soccer Club's Evaristo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 35th minute of play. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Neves having to interfere. In the 45th minute 姚潮谦 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Teobald Pazura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Teobald Pazura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flu Lawyers Soccer Club's Doni Prado was substituted for Jarbas Saraiva. With a little luck, Flu Lawyers Soccer Club's Evaristo Neves got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gürhan İlenç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Teodoro Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Flu Lawyers Soccer Club's Evaristo Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Flu Lawyers Soccer Club from getting a goal against them. 96 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evaristo Neves, 0-1. The Flu Lawyers Soccer Club manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Venezuela to win.
