Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when River tu grato nombre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kraig Rasmussen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jayson Burnett having to make a save. Jayson Burnett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jayson Burnett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jayson Burnett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Stacey Eason fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River tu grato nombre's protests and gave Stacey Eason a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes River tu grato nombre got a freekick which was hit by Stacey Eason. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jayson Burnett was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Jayson Burnett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the River tu grato nombre defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jayson Burnett. The River tu grato nombre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jayson Burnett should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jayson Burnett. Jayson Burnett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elvis Waller made a kick off. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jayson Burnett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Jayson Burnett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by River tu grato nombre's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jayson Burnett quite easily take care of the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes in the game, Agustín Saelices fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jayson Burnett having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jayson Burnett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jayson Burnett. That made the score 0-5 in the 68 minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jayson Burnett having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvis Waller in the 73rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Norton, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jayson Burnett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jayson Burnett having to interfere. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jayson Burnett. Jayson Burnett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. River tu grato nombre's Jayson Burnett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save River tu grato nombre from getting a goal against them.
