Lokomotiv Plovdiv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zdzislaw Obuchowicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdzislaw Obuchowicz in the 60th minute of play. Slavey Lesov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Krum Nikolchov was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 3-2. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita came free and shot a quick shot against goal 92 minutes in the game, fortunately Krum Nikolchov had problems saving as it came toward the left post. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Lokomotiv Plovdiv were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
