Marcial Cisquella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Handsome Wizards UTD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. In the 19th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Cisquella having to interfere. In the 36th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Cisquella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Cisquella read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Zak Beckford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Handsome Wizards UTD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 41st minute, Zak Beckford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when The Handsome Wizards UTD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Groves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Marcial Cisquella made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcial Cisquella came out and tried to block the shot, but Lautaro Mancebo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in The Handsome Wizards UTD's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Cisquella came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Marcial Cisquella successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zak Beckford kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Cisquella having to interfere. After some careless play in the The Handsome Wizards UTD defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcial Cisquella. The The Handsome Wizards UTD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Cisquella should have stopped the shot. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Marcial Cisquella made a huge save. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after The Handsome Wizards UTD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Handsome Wizards UTD.
