Nils Elmhuus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xiao Zhen Jian in the 27th minute of play. Parque Europa FC's Emanuel Löfkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Nils Elmhuus made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Coronel Castro sent off a good shot on target. Luis Täger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gong Qi Fan in the 54th minute of the match. Nils Elmhuus was a little too slow when Xiao Zhen Jian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-1. Parque Europa FC's 沈亦天 was substituted for Coronel Castro. Alvise Catapano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Täger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play.
