Roberto Layton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Carlo Darrigrande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the game, ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Carlo Darrigrande nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nils Elmhuus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlo Darrigrande to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute of the game Jordi Carces made a throw-in which Carlo Darrigrande played forward. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimiro Marquez during the 60th minute. Nils Elmhuus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Swan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nils Elmhuus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Swan in the 83rd minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Nils Elmhuus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆ were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Playa Malvín's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Johnathan Douglas took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Eliézer Prata advanced and headed the ball into goal, 3-4 in the 96th minute. The Playa Malvín supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Playa Malvín would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
