The audience was convinced that Peter Wright's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo Castellano was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peter Wright to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Club Getafe Deportivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Handi Vidales to maneuver through the defense. Ángel Fernández's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo Castellano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play.
