Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltiadis Liakos in the 3rd minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, IRAKLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Iakovos Perivolakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iakovos Perivolakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Iakovos Perivolakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iakovos Perivolakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Mexico's Luca Zorita to a score. 0-1 in the 18th minute. After 24 minutes of play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iakovos Perivolakis was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, IRAKLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Iakovos Perivolakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that IRAKLIS's Iakovos Perivolakis managed to reach the ball for a save. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. IRAKLIS's Iakovos Perivolakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, IRAKLIS's Chinomso Zelarayan got a free kick in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Chinomso Zelarayan made the kick off in the second half. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iakovos Perivolakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iakovos Perivolakis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 76th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iakovos Perivolakis quite easily take care of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, IRAKLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Iakovos Perivolakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to IRAKLIS getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Alketas Kontodimos hit a great ball. Menelaos Mavromatis made in the 80th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kostas Koronas. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Iakovos Perivolakis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Iakovos Perivolakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The IRAKLIS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
