The supporters of Juventus Țiu booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Boteanu got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 41 in the game by Manuel Boteanu from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Manuel Boteanu was slow to take the kick. During this time Juventus Țiu's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Juventus Țiu's Manuel Boteanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernest Bărcăuan during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Juventus Țiu getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ernest Bărcăuan hit a great ball. After 47 minutes of play Juventus Țiu's Ernest Bărcăuan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Juventus Țiu's Ernest Bărcăuan got a free kick in the 48th minute.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorin Popeneciu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Alexandru Chiriloaie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Juventus Țiu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Daniel Mihele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Mihele in the 74th minute of the match. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Mihele in the 79th minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marius Bălașa skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marius Bălașa. That made the score 1-2 in the 86 minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorin Popeneciu struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventus Țiu. After having played for 94 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Venezuela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
