In the 18th minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Thorsten Benscheider. FK Partizani Tirana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Hubert Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thorsten Benscheider breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Honduras's Ivan Navarro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kajetan Meibeck, made in the 34th minute of the game. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thorsten Benscheider. Thorsten Benscheider dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Kajetan Meibeck made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Thorsten Benscheider made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Eicke Brocker made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorsten Benscheider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, FK Partizani Tirana's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Thorsten Benscheider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Zeitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Kajetan Meibeck in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. 60 minutes into the match, FK Partizani Tirana's goalkeeper Thorsten Benscheider had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. 63 minutes into the match, FK Partizani Tirana's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Thorsten Benscheider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eicke Brocker in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 68th minute of play forced FK Partizani Tirana's goalkeeper Thorsten Benscheider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th match minute, FK Partizani Tirana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kajetan Meibeck to maneuver through the defense. Edmundo Espigas short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Thorsten Benscheider to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thorsten Benscheider made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastian Villa in the 76th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Moises Tafalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Partizani Tirana the free kick. The supporters of FK Partizani Tirana booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eicke Brocker in the 81st minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Edmundo Espiga took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Thorsten Benscheider to make any attempt to save it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kajetan Meibeck in the 93 minute of the game. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FK Partizani Tirana throughout the match.
