The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mano in the 5th minute of the match. Juan Diego Tenorio charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Diego Tenorio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Juan Diego Tenorio got a free kick in the 8th minute. Thomas Filipović's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Filipović helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Fajteri got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Filipović. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliseo Mano's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Jacobo Nores was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Milisav Kovše capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Milisav Kovše really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mano notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Eliseo Mano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fajteri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 42 minutes into the match, Eliseo Mano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores, 5-0. Kostja Vertot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 49th minute of the match Fajteri got a corner. Paraguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thomas Filipović ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Pardo was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Eliseo Mano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Štefan Saje charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Štefan Saje the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Fajteri got a freekick which was hit by Štefan Saje. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Eliseo Mano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Fajteri's Eliseo Mano. But to his dismay, Eliseo Mano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. If Thomas Filipović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Fajteri's Armando Vogrinčič sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Juan Diego Tenorio got a free kick in the 78th minute. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Vogrinčič, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Armando Vogrinčič put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. Armando Vogrinčič struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fajteri. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fajteri fans cheered their team off the field, for while Paraguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
