Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fabian Arendarski quite easily take care of the ball. In the 41st minute Duran Mukerrem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Fabian Arendarski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 48th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Fabian Arendarski, making the score, 1-1. 61 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper Fabian Arendarski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 67 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper Fabian Arendarski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 71st minute of play forced Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper Fabian Arendarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Fabian Arendarski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie made a substitution. Karol Biskupiak replaced Duran Mukerrem. Fabian Arendarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute István Hoffman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. István Hoffman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Czeslaw Kossakowski got a free kick in the 96th minute. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Zagłębie Dąbrowskie had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
