Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Prospero Sandaili fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 9 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prospero Sandaili in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute, Roberto Chesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Prospero Sandaili tried to sneak it across the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Patricio Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zhuang Jun Di made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Prospero Sandailis short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Chesus in the 34th minute of the match. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhuang Jun Di having to interfere. In the 41stth minute of the game Prospero Sandaili who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Siro Salomon came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Salomon couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Prospero Sandaili made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zhuang Jun Di breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Siro Salomon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Zhuang Jun Di made a huge save. 70 minutes into the match, Godfredo Donostia notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Prospero Sandaili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute of the match Amado Elixio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. In the 83rd minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 84 played minutes, Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Amado Elixio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C reached it. Through a series of nice moves, Venezuela's Joshua Secada on his own came free in the 87th minute of the match and shot 3-2 behind a disappointed Zhuang Jun Di. Ferdinando Di Pasquale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
