Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Charles Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Ourinhos FC defense, Primitivo Escribano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Ieltxu. The Ourinhos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Ieltxu should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Gavril Dudev in the 28th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. Simon Ieltxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Covarrubias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Raul Venegas fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Raul Venegas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ourinhos FC booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Pinheiro hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artemio Cisco got free with Jacobo Nores in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon Ieltxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Ourinhos FC's Artemio Cisco got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Covarrubias got free with Simon Ieltxu in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Hector Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, one of Paraguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paraguay. Gavril Dudev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Ieltxu having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Gavril Dudev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jacobo Nores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hector Covarrubias's late challenge caught a Ourinhos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Covarrubias helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias got a free kick in the 85th minute. A collision led to Ourinhos FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Benê dos Santos hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Gavril Dudev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ourinhos FC's Charles Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
