In the 16th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Di Röe's Herman Benett got a free kick in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Kristiansson was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Zhu Bin Le kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. George Kristiansson came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Herman Benett hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The supporters of Di Röe booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sten Melberg in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dante Lacasa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 43 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Leonardo Leoz hit a great ball. Herman Benett's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herman Benett helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Di Röe's Herman Benett got a free kick in the 50th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Sten Melberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. George Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 57th minute of play. Di Röe's George Kristiansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Di Röe from getting a goal against them. George Kristiansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Di Röe's Elliot Kellbom got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Facundo Cadaval scored 1-3 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Kristiansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Di Röe's Arnaldo da Fonseca was substituted for Sten Melberg. Di Röe's Gerard Tan was substituted for Bengt-Rune Berg. Felix Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Tan in the 68th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo da Fonseca in the 69th minute of the match. Knut Engström kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. George Kristiansson made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with George Kristiansson in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Di Röe's George Kristiansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Di Röe from getting a goal against them. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Engström in the 97th minute of play.
