Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11thth minute of the game Ollie Norwood who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Ramsdal saved Mount Pleasant FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Dallas Kuch tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aaron Ramsdal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dallas Kuch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute, Eavan Mcjunkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Dallas Kuch came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Mount Pleasant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dallas Kuch couldn't finish the play. After having played for 35 minutes, Ollie Norwood managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mount Pleasant FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ollie Norwood was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mount Pleasant FC's Rodney Buckland got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Dallas Kuch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dallas Kuchs short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ollie Norwood to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Cain Barker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Ollie Norwood had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ollie Norwood was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Dallas Kuch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ollie Norwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas had several of the Mount Pleasant FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Aaron Ramsdal as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Ramsdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ollie Norwood in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ollie Norwood kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Despite being the better team, Mount Pleasant FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
