Serafin Bernal came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Monty Rogers. But to his dismay, Monty Rogers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dawid Serwacki kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Jenson Smith hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Cassius Byrne. 30 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godfredo Nuñez. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 42 minutes into the match, Cassius Byrne notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Serafin Bernal. Serafin Bernal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Godfredo Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Godfredo Nuñez to make the kick off. Serafin Bernal was a little too slow when Monty Rogers got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 59th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Moore to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Serafin Bernal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Godfredo Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sam Campbell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Bernal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play.
