Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. Atlético Nacional's Baldomero Rodas got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Primitivo Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Rodas in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Rodas in the 33rd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Alberto Azevedo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Carlos Alberto Azevedo sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Carlos Alberto Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Rodas came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Baldomero Rodas took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Teodoro Peio made a huge save. Carlos Alberto Azevedo scored 3-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the game, Vicente Sasoin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Vicente Sasoin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Atlético Nacional's Primitivo Mendez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Rodas in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Atlético Nacional's Vicente Sasoin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Teodoro Peio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Atlético Nacional's Baldomero Rodas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Atlético Nacional walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
