Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Roman Mehrtens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. After having played for 10 minutes, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Noboa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 15th minute of play forced Kerteminde Boldklub's goalkeeper Roman Mehrtens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Mehrtens having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 played minutes Kerteminde Boldklub got a freekick which was hit by Eberhardt Osted. In the 30th match minute, Kerteminde Boldklub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerhard Guldager to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Tue Parslet sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tue Parslet to strike the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tue Parslet in the 53rd minute of the match. Gerhard Guldager kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tue Parslet in the 65th minute of the match. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Bertil Kapala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kerteminde Boldklub's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertil Kapala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Kerteminde Boldklub booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Noboa was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match Eberhardt Osted shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 86th minute Tue Parslet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
